Products and services
We make and sell locally handcrafted goat milk products.
Our Mediterranean-style yogurt is processed, with various flavours to choose from. This thick natural yogurt is made plain, or mixed with organic field berry/strawberry compote.
One of the most popular products is the goat chevre. This cream cheese-style product provides great flavour by itself, on a cracker, or mixed into a variety of recipes. From savory to sweet flavours, this product tends to be very versatile.
Our feta comes cubed and ready to be enjoyed in salads or pasta. This salty cheese makes for a great addition to watermelon or Greek-style dishes.
And lastly, the goat queso is a unique product on the table. This softer cheese is able to be grilled, used in recipes, or enjoyed all on its own.

About us

The Hermus family moved from The Netherlands to Canada in 2005 to the growing city of Brooks, Alberta. Marc, Corina and the three kids (Anke, Frank and Bas) started farming cereal crops with the hope to expand their operation to other possibilities. Marc has always had a dream of having a livestock operation that is sustainable for the future and will provide a new challenge. He initially started exploring the idea of a goat dairy many years ago but wanted to wait until the perfect opportunity came along. Now they are expanding to other products and brands, ready to provide great quality and locally made goat products to the market.

Proud Local Business
We, as a company, also try and support as many other local businesses as possible. Our Saskatoon berries come from Lethbridge, the containers from St. Albert, and labels from Calgary just to name a few. If we can’t source it in Alberta, we stick with Canadian-made products.

Processing Our Products
The goats are milked twice a day, once in the early morning, and then again in the evening about 12 hours apart. The milk we use, is shipped from the farm to the processing plant every Saturday afternoon. This ensures a fresh base product to use for that week.

Vat Pasteurization
This uses a lower temperature but at a longer period of time. This does not affect the shelf life of the milk, or the true nutritional value. However, it retains some of the important enzymes the high heat may kill.
